When I rented a vehicle to drive down to my class reunion, my husband did not see any reason to pick up temp cover insurance on the car. He insisted that the insurance that the rental agency offered was enough, and I insisted I would feel better if we picked up temp cover as well. Thankfully, I won the argument. On the way back from my high school reunion, we were in a small fender bender that was caused by the other driver. I had to contact all of the insurance offices with coverage on the vehicle and sure enough, I found out that if I had been to blame, the temp cover would have covered more than the insurance that the rental agency offered. My husband learned a valuable lesson that day, that having extra insurance is not always a bad thing. I say it is always best to have more than less, just in case.
